Yellow Triangle / Exclamation Mark When Encoding with Quick Sync

Hi there,

I've been testing VideoReDo's ability to encode using Quick Sync.

After editing out commercials and saving the video VRD starts encoding. When it appears to do the 2nd pass the time remaining starts increasing, rather than continuing to count down.

After a couple of minutes a triangle appears with an exclamation mark in the middle of it indicating, I assume, that there is an error or problem.

It would be great if someone can offer some assistance please.

Log file and screen shot of my settings attached. I'm using the latest beta 757b but have also tried the latest public version.

Thanks in advance
Paul

Can you try the exact same file and parameters but using the software encoder? That will tell us if it's a problem with QuickSync or something else in the output chain.

Hi Dan,

Thanks for your reply.

I don't think I have the original file any more so I have tried it with another file.

I first tried with QS settings and I saw the triangles again on the 2nd pass.

I then tried with the software encoder and it was successful.

See 1VideoReDo_2017-10-26.Log attachment for the above test.

I then rebooted the PC and tried the same file with QS.

Once again I saw the triangle on the 2nd pass. (2VideoReDo_2017-10-26.Log attachment)

It could be the compression on the audio. Try turning that off and see if it completes.
