after upgrading to:

Version: 3.20.2.609 - Nov 16 2010 (00cf0046-569}

No existing settings changed, no similar previous problems.

I've attached excerpt from log file from opening, through upgrading to 2 aborted attempts to author, both terminating at the same stage of the process.

Uninstalled the upgrade, re-installed my previously saved version:

Version: 3. 1. 5. 564 - Jul 5 2008 (00cf0046MUC1ZD}

Project completed the muxing process, but failed at 'Create ISO' stage -- not sure (memory deficiency) if there's an issue with the version I re-installed, but it failed in attempting to burn, despite my selection of 'Create ISO'; final throes described below...

*After 6+ minutes hanging, I decided to manually abort.

The space in this line: "/n: DVD_VOLUME_DVD" between colon and D was inserted by me; it smiled on posting, and that's not an accurate reflection of my current mood...

O/S XPSP3 Home auto-updated.

Ignore this one -- some kind of destination folder conflict issue, I can only assume.

There is no indication as to why either process hung. Perhaps your antivirus software is intervening. Try temporarily disabling it and see if that helps the issue at all.

Thanks for the reply Dan. I successfully authored the mpeg to iso via the previous VRD TVS version (3.1.5.564).

I re-installed the upgrade (3.20.2.609), loaded the original project (which I also used for the successful process mentioned above), and it failed at the same stage. AV was disabled for both installation and authoring. I would attach the full log for the failed attempt, but it exceeds the forum file size limit, so the attached file runs from 'No Final Encode' (see below) to program termination. Having superficially compared the logs for the two events/versions, I noticed two anomalies:

2011-05-14 17:46:15 WTV file signature check failed.
2011-05-14 17:46:15 SBE file signature check failed.

the above appeared in the log for the failed attempt, with no reference to those checks in the log for the successful attempt using the previous version. The other difference was in the following line:

2011-05-14 17:53:57 Buffer status: Frame Accurate: No Final Encode, #2, H:\digiTV\recordings\Alien Resurrection 07-May.mpg
(v 3.20.2.609)

&

2011-05-08 18:32:35 Buffer status: Frame Accurate: With final encode., H:\digiTV\recordings\Alien Resurrection 07-May.mpg
(v 3.1.5.564)

Don't know if that's relevant.

I will uninstall the upgrade and re-install the previous version until there is a resolution. Any help appreciated -- thanks.
