Hi folks, just upgraded my (registered) Version 3 to latest v3.20.2 , and it simply refuses to launch. It installs fine, but then will not run. Its always worked in the past on this machine ? I have done a thorough uninstall and reinstall, to no avail. All help appreciated. All other programs running normally, im on Win XP SP3, machine is a Quad Core with 4gb of Ram. I am logged in as Adminstrator.

thanks

Make sure your AV program is disabled when you install. Some AV programs will block or delete crucial DLLs during or after an install.

Thanks, Dan...but tried that just now and no different. Still installs ok, runs configuration, then looks like program is going to launch (egg timer shows briefly) then nothing..?

AV is Avast, for info

You said you did a "thorough uninstall" what did that entail? Did you delete everything left in the install folder? Did you delete the VRD directory from AppData? Did you manually go into the registry and delete all the keys under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DRD Systems\VideoReDo-TVSuite?

If not then try that. If so then try creating a new windows user (you can delete it after the test) and then installing VRD under that user. Does it work?

Just did all that you suggest in 1st paragraph, and still the same. Then created new windows user, installed under that account, still the same.

Do you get a crash window? Or does it just disappear? Can you email your complete log file to support @ videoredo.com?
