VideoReDo TVSuite version 5 Promotional Email

Hi all,

I have TV Video Suite Version 4 and I had an email that was promoting VideoReDo TVSuite version 5 for $19.99 providing I had the previous version.

Firstly, can any one of authority confirm that this deal is kosher as the email arrived in my junk email folder?

Secondly, can any one of authority tell me how much it would cost if I did not have the previous version?

Thirdly, what are the opinions of any users out there who have upgraded from TVSuite version 4 to TVSuite version 5? Do you think it is worth the upgrade and if so, why?

Finally, if I need expert advice as the promotion boasts, will there be someone of authority who can give it to me not including these forums?

Thanks

HB

The email is legit.

The price for v5 without a previous version upgrade is currently $95.99 and the normal upgrade price is $30.99.

Me and DanR are the primary developers of VideoReDo and we answer most of the questions posed on these forums ourselves.

Hi Dan and DanR (nice to talk to you), thanks for the replies. So there is not a free upgrade from my version to version 5?

I will probably upgrade but can you tell me in layman's terms what the improvements are on the new version thanks?

Are there any unbiased views of any users out there who have upgraded from TVSuite version 4 to TVSuite version 5 and by upgrading, what have you noticed that has made life easier for you using the new version?

Cheers

What I bought it for is that V5 can alter or delete individual audio streams and the beta handles video with no audio.
Still a bit iffy with DTS tho.

Much better encoding around edit points. -H264

Only you can decide whether the plethora of changes/updates are worth it to you, but for certain a $20 upgrade price is dirt cheap, so if you have any inclination to ever edit any video in the future, now is the time to act! Thanks for this thread--I acted!

VideoReDo for me is great apart from the new look I prefer the old style of v4 still you cant have everything in this world
the guys here are great and sort most problems you have very quickly also they don't push out updates just for the sake of it
as for the price £ for £ or $ for $ its the best program out their in my opinion you cant fault the backup service

BUY IT ITS A BARGIN and $20 upgrade offer price Is A No Brainer

Yes, the old style of v4 is preferrable. Also why the heck upgrade to v5 when the developers failed to deliver their promise of Unicode support. Yes folks that is true, VideoReDo does not support Unicode in 2016! So in my mind they do not deserve any business from me until that promise is fullfilled (which probably never will happen if judging from how hard they describe the task to be). No, only $10 discount doesnt make it "A No Brainer" in any way.

For me the great thing about v.5 is the ability to open and edit most common video formats. We can only save using .mpg, .mp4 and .mkv but those are the main ones in use today so it's no hardship and I love being able to edit .avi (for example) files in a decent editor at last.

In terms of negatives, I am another who doesn't like the look of v.5 but the ease of use of the program and fantastic support from the two Dans more than makes up for it.

I agree with (most of) the others: don't think twice about upgrading, you won't be disappointed.

Okay, I hear ya'all. Thanks to all for the input. Yes, Dan is a really helpful fellow. Both of them.

When I purchase version 5, will it install over the top of version 4 (which I don't want) and if so, how can I protect against this happening so I can have both versions on my computer to choose from?

Thanks

No. V5 installs completely independent of v4, so you can have both on your machine simultaneously.

Dan,

Should I try the version 5 free trial first? Will the special offer of $19.99 still be available after I have tried the free trial or does it not work like that?

Cheers

The discount is a limited time offer.

If you do the free trial it will not impact getting the discount offer.

Okay then. I will download the trial, use that up first and hopefully purchase it at the discount price after the trial runs out.

The special offer expires in a couple days, so I wouldn't wait for the full trial period.

Was surprised to find this thread.

I don't visit the forums often but never received such an email. I have V4 and been using it constantly. I haven't changed my email either.

How can I get the special upgrade price?

Having bought the new version 5, when I open it, I am being told that "A new beta version is available: 5-1-2.740."

Should I get this or wait untill the next full update version is out?

Thanks
