video redo and my theatre

I am a total newbie here. My question is - when I record live satellite mpeg files with a dvb-s card and my theatre, is videoredo capable of automatically removing the commercials or is this something I have to do after the shows are recorded? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can manually mark the commercial segments of the file for deletion or use Ad-Detective to automatically search and mark the segments for deletion. After the segmaents are marked you can save the new output file

This is accomplished after you have recorded the program.
