V6 Opens Weirdly Minimised Mid Desktop

I've never seen that here. But there is a "Show splash screen" option in Options>"Start up".
Perhaps that will change things in a postive way.

Thanks very much indeed for the suggestion, but, no luck, I'm afraid. The problem happens as soon as I open a video file after the "splash screen" has opened; instead of opening full screen this "minimised" box appears on the screen. I can maximise it with a click, so it isn't preventing my using the program, but it shouldn't do this.

If you click the little icon a menu will pop up. There should be a maximize option in there.

As for why this is happening... the setting we use to save the window size must have got corrupted some how. Are you comfortable editing the registry? If so go to...

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DRD Systems\VideoReDo-TVSuite6\WindowPOS\ControlWindow

and set the width and height values to something large, like 1000. That should be enough to allow you to resize the window to where you actually want it.

Thanks - that seems to be the problem. Once it opened, with some judder initially, I then maximised before reducing the size to what looks best on my screen, then I closed the program. On opening, it retained its set size now, so should be okay.

Thanks!

Glad you got it sorted. There use to be an option in that menu called resize that would allow you to resize the window with the keyboard, but for some reason it's grayed out on everything in Win10. Not sure if there is something we have to do to reenable it, but it worked without anything special in older Windows versions.

And i've just used this fix too, which is surely more than a coincidence. For the record I'm running my screen at 3840x2160.

The registry data reflects whatever the last size was, now (I think). Perhaps there is a slight coding error in the new version?

It can occasionally get corrupted. Not sure why. One thing I could do to fix it would be to never allow a value smaller than the minimum size, even when loaded from the registry
