Updating VideoRedo TV Suite V5 stops me from renaming it to what I want on my desktop

Hi,

Because I am disabled, I can call up the name of any application from my desktop by using speech recognition. The shorter the name I can make it, the easier it is to call up.

So when I originally installed VideoRedo TV Suite V5, I renamed the icon that showed on my desktop to, VideoRedo 5 for ease of calling it up to open it.

I have just recently checked for updates and there were some so I updated the software.

By updating, this then changed the name on the updated icon back to VideoRedo TV Suite V5. I then tried to rename it once more as I did the first time I downloaded it back to VideoRedo 5 for ease of calling it up. I am being told that there is already another VideoRedo 5 and would I like to call this VideoRedo 5 (2).

Can somebody tell me what has actually happened here and why I cannot rename it just VideoRedo 5 without the (2) beside it?

If there are 2 instances of VideoRedo 5 in my program files, I cannot seem to find both of them. Does this mean that they have both intermingled with each other somehow? If so, does this mean that it has updated?

How can I change it back to how I want it with it just being named VideoRedo 5 without being prompted that it must be a 2nd instance of that name?

Thanks

It's telling you there is already an icon on the Desktop called VideoReDo 5. Because you renamed the original icon the upgrade added a new icon rather then replacing thw old one. So now you have two. Just delete the new one. The old one should still work.
