uninstaling Pro from a computer

Hi; i'm having to reinstall windows 10 on the pc that i have Pro on. I made a bootable backup of the original drive that i did an generic windows uninstall on, so i can put it back into the machine if additional uninstall steps are needed. I had to do an uninstall a couple of years ago and ended up with a mess that Danr had to help me with - ended up being very complicated and took a long time to get it resolved. So i'm a little worried that i've started down that trail again. To some up, i had a w10 boot drive with pro installed on it. i removed pro with a standard windows uninstall, and then made an image backup of that boot drive. I then booted from the new image drive and used media creation tool to create a w10 install thumb drive. i erased the entire image drive and installed w10. i ca put the original drive back in (it was having an issue with random freezing - usually days apart) to "finish" the uninstall so Videoredo knows i've uninstalled it. I'd like to eventually install that copy on a different PC. Thanks for your help.

Just wanted to drop back and say thanks ( i owe you a beer :) ). I reloaded the original drive back into the pc and reinstalled the videoredo pro 5 version i had in my download folder (on that drive). when i fired it up it said it was registered and ready to rock. I then went through the transfer / deactivate process, copied the serial key it generated to my archive NAS and it seemed to work like a charm. The version installed on the original drive is now showing as locked. Thanks again for your help !!

Good to hear!.
Another thought...Do not change the computer name. My VRD5-Pro got in a license window loop until I changed the computer name back.
