TS Video Output Problem

Hi,

I'm new to VideoReDo and I am using TVSuite V6.62.4.827.

I have imported a TS video and have removed the beginning and end of the video. I have then gone to save the video as a TS file.

The output window gets to 100% and 'freezes' with a yellow exclamation mark. The time remaining is showing as 00 and nothing else happens until I abort the process.

The output settings are set to the same as the original video.

Any ideas on why this is happening.

Thanks :)

If you abort is the output file complete?

I've seen this once or twice before and in most cases it's caused by one of the audio streams dropping out right at the end of the file. This causes the muxer to wait indefinitely because it's expecting there to be data coming from that stream. We have code that is suppose to prevent this, but there seems to be some odd edge cases where the output threads fill up waiting and as such can't receive the message that we've hit the end of the file. It's something on our list to look into future but it's so rare it's not high priority.

If you abort and the file seems fine then there is nothing to worry about. TS files are packetized so if it's missing the last few packets the file won't be affected. If you abort and the file is bad you could try running the file through QuickStream Fix first and then editing the resulting file. That will likely remove the offending bit and allow you to properly edit the file.

The file when I abort isn't complete.

The original video is 01:44:52.16 and 32.4GB

I have cut 00:00:01.11 from the video.

The output file when I aborted is 53:59 and 16.2GB. There is no audio until 20 seconds from the video end.

Try running it through QSF and see if that's OK. If it is then edit the fixed file and see if that works.
