We just became aware of this issue.

We are currently working to resolve it.

If you are a registered user, As a workaround for TS output, please close VideoReDo, try setting the computer date back, then reopen VideoReDo.

Do not do this if you are a trial key user.

Thanks,
Pat

Please explain how this stopped without any updates being applied.

Why must I install a beta version to get it working again ?

It was our fault. There was a 3-4 year old piece of code left in the product which accidentally had a time out associated with it. The code should have been removed prior to a release, but wasn't.

The version we posted isn't a beta but will be moved to release status within 1-2 days. This forum is the quickest way to get a new build posted.

We are sincerely sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks for the clarification. So the "beta" is the same as the latest "release" version that I am running with the expiration code removed ? I always let VRD look for updates can't say I've seen any for quite a long time. TVsuite 3.1.5.564 (8/5/2008) is what "About" shows me.

Several Output File Formats Seem to Be Missing

20 Nov 2010

Hi Folks,

I recently noticed several output file formats seem to have disappeared from the QuickStreamFix utility's drop down list box. I am a register user and have been running VideoReDo TVSuite Version 3.1.4.551 for several years. I love this product. It has worked very well for me for a long time.

I do not have automatic checking for updates turned on. I generally do not like surprizes. I prefer to do an image backup of my entire system before doing any sort of upgrades or updates. That way I can always get back to a functioning system in short order by restoring the image backup I made prior to the update.

The MPG format is still available in the drop down list for the QuickStreamFix utility and other file output options. So, I can still clean up a TS file from my OnAirGT TV tuner software and re-format it to an MPG file format with the QuickStreamFix utility. I then ususally edit out about 20 minutes of commercials from a 60 minute show with VideoReDo and save the project. Later on, I open the project create a compressed DVD structure about 1.5 Gigabytes in size on my hard disk and delete the original and intermediate files. Much later, after 3 shows in the same family have been processed accumulated as above, I import the hard drive based DVDs, build a menu and burn a finished DVD that will play beautifully in my standard DVD player. VideoReDo makes easy work of this job... I love it.

Your explanation earlier in this thread about some old code with an active time out explains the problem.

When, where, and what do I need to do to obtain an offical bug fix for this problem?

Your comments and suggestions are always appreciated.

Thank you,
DTV Student

The new releases for Plus, TVSuite and V4 are available here:
http://www.videoredo.com/en/Download.htm

If you have automatic check for updates off, you can still easily check for updates within VRD. Click on the menu: Help>Check for updated version.

It will not automatically download and install, it will pop up a window and allow you to decide if you wish to DL.

I have version 3.20.1.597 - Mar 5, 2010 installed on my computer (according to Help>About). When I Click on Help>Check for Updates, I am informed I have the latest version, but the above link indicates a newer version is available (3.20.2-609 Dated November 16, 2010). What gives?
