Quite often VDR collapsed and I get attached window telling about thumbnail window problem. If I succeeded to pass that sertain place in the file without hitting it I might be lucky and succeed to author a DVD, usually not. What might be the reason ?

Try using "Enable Filters" in QuickStream Fix.

Process the file through QuickStream Fix first, then load the fixed file for editing. Tools>QuickStream Fix

Check Enable Filters in QuickStream Fix and select the resolution you desire to output. If multiple resolutions are not listed, increase the number of samples. Usually a number like 128 is sufficient.

Here is a guide to assist you

OK, I did that before with no result but "enable filters" made the trick. Thanks for advise.
But unfortenately this makes the hole job much more slower and glumsy. Main idea for me with VDR was to get reed of several temporary files and separate steps from editing to burning.

I became quite frustrated to meet that blody error message so often as I descriped in post #1.

For me running separate fixing process and greating new additional "fix" files is not something why I bought VRD. At the moments I can use VRD only for half of my recordings (not for thoise which collaps with thumbnail video dimension change and of cource and still those files which contain DVBsubtitles). It is easier to do projectX_cuttermaran_authoring process that trying to avoid those collaps points or making video fix. ProjectX gives
warnings but never collapse like VRD does.

My latest collaps point seems to be point where video goes 704x576i 4:3=>704x576i 16:9 (for one iframe) =>720x576i 4:3

Even this matter does not seem to be interesting for developers I could still download a short example of this for you if you could take a look of the problem. Running quick strem fix with filters gives me only have of the original file.

Can you isolate a 50-100MB segment of the file using trim and copy that will reproduce this?

Yes, I have a about 40 Mb trim ( 2 minutes) from the original file where the problem is located. I will download it to you later today.
