Save to folder problem

Ver. 4 would remember the default folder to save a completed file. Ver.5 does not. I set the folder save location in the profile editor, but it still does not remember.

You're using different folders for different profiles? I just tried it here and it worked. I need more info so I can try to recreate the issue and figure out what's going on.

It's fixed now.

I was trying to do the save using the Batch Manager. When I did a single file save first, it remembered the folder location. Now when I use BM it remembers the correct folder location.

OK that makes sense. If you want to queue stuff to batch and have it remember the last used location use File->Queue to batch instead. If you use the standard Save dialog then it will remember the last saved location not the last queued location. The queued location is only used for the Queue to batch dialog.

I could add something that dynamically changed the location if you check the queue to batch option in the normal Save dialog. I'll put that on my list.

I tend to use the batch manager to QSF several .ts files at the same time, all to the same QSF folder, before editing out adverts etc. and then saving to project specific folders. It would be nice if the Batch Manager would remember the last folder used as I will NEVER want to output ANY video files to my Documents folder and it's becoming a bit of a pain to have to remember to change this EVERY time I use the batch manager. (And, no, I don't want to have to queue each file individually just for a QSF!)

The other thing with the batch manager is that after it processes all the files in the job list, the "Run" button and label beside it stay showing the "Pause" message instead of reverting back to "Run".

Another nice feature would be if there was some way of setting what happens when the batch manger finishes AND be able to change this while the BM is running. (e.g. 'Keep running', 'Sleep', 'Shutdown' etc.)

Finally, as I gather that Windows 9 is to do away with the hated Charms menu, does this mean that you will also do away with this pointless waste of time and space in the final V5 release?

Apart from these minor niggles, this new V5 seems to be working really well. It seems to be much kinder on HD recordings where the broadcaster switches from 5.1 audio to stereo audio before the ideal cut point. In previous versions you couldn't leave any stereo audio in your edit without causing all sorts of problems. Now you seem to just drop the stereo audio in some graceful way that doesn't upset players and encoders. I'm also getting fewer audio sync issues with HD stuff, not that I was getting loads of them before.

Thanks.

This is a new feature. Once the batch has run, any new files you add to batch will automatically continue to process.

Surely then you should also add a way of turning this off as I can imagine several scenarios when I wouldn't want the batch to automatically continue. Or at least changing the message to something like "Awaiting new Jobs" as it just looks like a bad bit of programming at the moment.
