Problems with joiner

since 25th March I can not use the joiner function of my V5.3.83.763.

I used this function a couple of times before (I gues at leat 20 times) and thus I was suprised to read suddenly the answer when pressing the joiner after filling the list: No projects in the list.

My entries in the list were cancelled. The list is empty then.

No output file is allocated at all.

I retried several times with the sam result.
Version 5.3.83.764 shows the same "feature"

I use Windows 10 Home, 64 bit version.

The joiner works here (W7/64).
I've found that when VRD starts misbehaving, that a reinstall "may" fix it.

Had to do that with my threadripper/W10/64 install.
Experimenting with overclocking and the following lockups when
going too far is not good for VRD.

VRD is usually running at that time as a overclocking test program.
Don't know why a system crash would corrupt VRD tho.

I'm 99% sure I already fixed this. How exactly are you saving the joiner? Are you using the charm on the right? A custom button? The menu item? Or are you opening the joiner dialog and saving from there?

Just want to make sure I didn't miss a path.

I use the joiner dialog.Edit Joiner and then press Video out of listing. Klaus

Just as a test try the menu or the charm and see if they do the same thing.
Both do not work!
In the first approach I restricted all joiner functions to the menu.
The I restricted to the charms (add to joiner, edit joiner)
In both cases after having forwarded the new file name the resonse was: No projects in the joiner queue.
The queue is emptied. No new file is allocated at all.....

I've been working on v6 mostly so it's possible I made the fix in v6 and didn't back port it to v5. It's also possible that I fixed it after the last beta was locked. I'll check it out on Monday.

Just started a lot of "joiner" use and what happens (W7/64) here is if I have

"Clear after sucessful save/queue" checked...(uncheck this and everything works).

then when I click on "create video from joiner list", the joiner list is cleared BEFORE the save occurs.
Not after the save. VRD is trying to save and I'm getting a message that "No projects in the joiner list".

Everything is done with the "drop down" menu functions in the main VRD interface.

EDIT...this is VRD Pro.

thanks,
jmc

Great. Now it works again. Thank you very much.
A workaround would be to say clear BEFORE joining...

I thought for sure I fixed that, but it may have been reverted or maybe never down ported to v5

Nothing has been changed in V5 since the beginning of the year. Can you try the V6 beta?
