Hi,

I have a problem when importing a title from a DVD : a take a mpeg2 file, master a DVD with VRDTVS, then try to "open a file from DVD" from the newly mastered DVD, I see there is one title available, I select in in the title selector; click OK, and get the following error message :
unable to open one of the VOB files in this VIDEO_TS folder. Please see log for details. Here is the log :

It's strange that VRDTVS cannot import it's own created DVD. Is there a workaround ?

Thanx.

It is difficult to read that location with the smiley. It looks like it's the root of the drive.

Does that drive exist?

What is your setting for AutoCombining? Click on the menu: Tools>Options>Enhanced Features

Try specifying a folder location on one of your drives.

Thanks and sorry about the smiley, your forum editor inserts it automatically, actually it should read :
M:_DVDTitle_0.VLST without the first underscore.
The DVD I try to extract a title from is in the M: Drive which does exist.
About the autocombining setting, it's set to "Specify folder" but no folder is specify, this might well be the cause, I think VRDTVS wants to write on the M: drive, that is the DVD, hence the error. I am going to try right now !

Yes ! That works fine now. So the problem was "simply" that the specify folder was empty in the advanced option. It would be nice to have a more explicit error message.

Thanks a lot, I can now import titles and this is a great plus.

Hmmm, that's strange. Although the .vlst file defaults to the source drive, it does (or is supposed to) check if the source drive is read-only and move the .vlst to a temp folder.

We will have to check that out.

Actually, I think DVD title import never worked until tonight, when I filled in the field defining the folder location containing the VLST file. I have chosen a given location on my HDD. And it does work fine now !
