since I have "heard nothing" since April,
I would like to ask the developers if there is still an ongoing development-process of VideoReDo TVSuiteV4 w/H.264 ?
(to be honest, I didn't read many posts in this Forum since April -> sorry for that -> if this question is already answered if former threads of this forum)

for example as you wrote here :
Important: WTV files created by TVSuite can not always be opened again by TVSuite. We hope to have this fixed in the next build.

is there any next build on the horizon ? ;)

also regarding the issue:
getting no AC3-sound from the wtv ?
sometimes opening the MPEG audio stream in the source file gives AC3 in the output file and vica-versa.
I discussed with Dan via email in April.

since I bought this software,
I am also interested to know if it will be possible in some times (future release), to keep all present audio streams (e.g. mgeg AND AC3) from the (original) source file an not only one ?

My dream is still to cut an original WTV file (HD or SD) without recoding and without losing any of the original Audio stream(s).
Will that be possible in a future version ?

dirk87, please educate yourself by reading the previous posts. As music_man and TF5000 have already indicated this has been discussed upteen times to barfability.

Pat, if this gets out of hand like the other thread please nip it-in-the-bud before it gets ugly again. :)

I read the mentioned posts meanwhile...
...and some times it sounds to me, if the people are talking about some "freeware" or "open source" software,
but remember we're talking about support/issues for a payed software.
(It cost me 80$ - the same amount that Win7 cost in germany)

But I understood, that there is a solution in the pipeline

I think we can push out 601/602 sometime next week. We've been working really hard on getting the multi-audio stream support working (mpeg2 only for now, H.264 later), and that's almost done. It was much harder to do than we anticipated and delayed things a bit.

We ran into some unexpected issues with the multi-audio which caused the delay. We are still working hard on it and will release it as soon as it's ready.

Care to drop a hint or two and a don't-hold-me-to-it estimated timeframe ?

We're mainly working on the multi-audio thing. However a few cool fixes have come as side effects. For example we now support saving H.264 to DVD. There have also been some other fixes/improvements here and there, but the main focus has been reworking the program to support multiple audio streams. (it turned out to be a bigger project then anticipated)

I can't offer any sort of time frame sorry.

As part of the multi-audio we found the issues that were causing a few audio re-sync frames to be added / removed. This have been addressed for MPEG2 and will be rolled into H.264 shortly, along with multi-audio there too as well. In our preliminary testing, the audio / video sync has never been tighter, even when compared with Plus and TVS3.

I now have enough to start posting betas again. So please give us a day or two of testing and we will start posting new builds in a separate thread.

Again, sorry for the delays, but this turned into a much larger project than we ever anticipated. (Now I know why we resisted doing this for so long :) ). But, for those who need or want audio streams I'm sure you'll be pleased.

That sound you are hearing that seems like water drops is me drooling. The drool will turn into a flood when H.264 multi audio stream support appears.

A few weeks ago PHD asked about the ABC H.264 files that I supplied regarding issues with H.264, as some new info was obtained. Will any fixes for that be part of this release?

and I'm standing by to test any Beta version with the weird german-TV multi audio streams (SD and HD)...

And when might we see another beta? I purchased this software for $99 because I stumbled on the link just to find out after paying that it was BETA! I never did receive a response about that. So, it works alright, but editing WTV files is worse than converting to the older format and editing it due to performance issues with WTV. I would very much like to see a new beta, as my key will not allow me to use the V3 of the Suite. I feel like I got ripped off [I didn't know it was BETA when I purchased it ... I had used V3 prior on another machine or as a trial and was thrilled when I found V4 with H.264 and WTV support .... SURPRISE 4 ME.

I am a software developor myself, C++, ATL/COM, .NET 3.5, WinForms, WPF ... let me help!

I'm not sure that line of reasoning (let me help) would work with, say, MS or most other commercial entities.

Not doing your research on what you buy is only your fault, although in this instance I'd expect a good final outcome.
