No Audio in MKV container

If I take a ts file and then do this 'ffmpeg -i input.ts -codec copy input.mkv'
The mkv has no audio during VideoReDo playback. The mkv file has audio, it's just VideoReDo that has no audio. After the file is saved, audio is fine when the MKV is played.
I tried the 'Ignore transport stream maps' which made no difference.

Any way to fix this?

That should play fine. But there are a lot of weird, rarely used, parameters in the AAC spec that could potentially be tripping up our AAC decoder. Easiest way to tell if it's a decoder issue or a sound issue is to force an audio recode when saving. If the output fails or the output has blank audio then it's a decoder issue. If the output is OK then it's a playback issue, which means you need to check that the volume control is turned up and if that's OK try a different audio driver. (Tools->Options-Playback Devices)

It's a decoder issue. The file plays fine with audio in VLC. It is just VideoReDo that has no audio. When I change the ffmpeg to output as an mp4, the audio is fine in VideoReDo.
Not an issue for me since I do not use mkv anymore.

That's weird because internally VideoReDo uses the same code to read MKV and MP4 files. (both use ffmpeg) So it's weird that one would work and one wouldn't.

Not sure why, but even my re-encoded MKV's have no audio in VideoReDo. MP4's have audio.
This is with Version 5 or 6
If you want me to PM you a sample file, just let me know.
