Multi-monitor driver still has glitches

#1
With 473 and using the multi-monitor driver, when I minimize VRD while playing a video the output to my HDTV becomes squeezed horizontally. This happens when playing HD material, and it makes it look like an anamorphic DVD before it gets stretched to fill the screen. I have an Nvidia 6600GT video card. If I go back to the non-multi-monitor driver it displays normally when minimized.

Ron, I'm not sure of your terminology. Do you really mean minimized (icon only on task bar) or just move mostly off screen? Yes, the new version does squeeze, that that a problem?

Yes, minimized means icon only on taskbar. And for me is is a problem. I may be watching a video displayed by VRD on the TV and want to do something else with the computer display. I minimize VRD and the TV display is now abnormal. You mention the squeeze as if you intend it to do this. Now I am curious -- why do you intentionally squeeze the output when minimized?

Now I'm confused. When you minimize VRD, what application is looking squeezed? That is not the intent. Also try with YUV off and on.

Dan,

I have fullscreen video output from my computer (Nvidia card) configured to display on a connected HDTV. Normally when I play HD content in VRD, the video on the TV fills the screen completely. When using the multi-monitor driver in VRD, whenever I minimize VRD the video that is displayed on the HDTV is squeezed horizontally (i.e. no longer as wide as the HDTV screen.) When not using the multi-monitor driver, the HDTV image fills the screen whether the VRD application is minimized or not.

So, if I understand correctly, you have 2 VRDs open. One on primary display, one on the secondary display to HDTV.

When you minimize the primary display VRD using multimon, the width of the secondary display VRD is reduced in width.

Pat,

No, that is not it. I have one VRD playing video. The video that is playing completely fills the TV display. When I minimize VRD, the video that is playing (on the TV) becomes squeezed.
