MPEG1 VCD file editing - output file slightly jerky

Using VideoRedo v2.1.2.417 trial with trial key, I cut out all 3 adverts in a 43min MPEG1 file, extracted using ISObuster with the "Extract but FILTER M2F2 frames" option. The resulting output file is 99% ok. The only problem I have is that every 2 to 4 seconds the video loses a frame, resulting in a noticeable jerk during play back especially on high movement video. Any ideas on what could be wrong? Program settings are at default values when program installed.

Have you tried just copying the DAT files to your hard drive and importing directly into VideoReDo?

Yes I have - same slight jerky video. Only if I process the dat file, the end of the editing process displays error corrections, whereas no corrections were performed on the filtered M2F2 file.

Do you see the jerky playback in VRD or some other player?

Does it occur with all your VCDs or just this one VCD?

If just the one VCD is a problem, how was it created?

Can you trim and copy a segment of your original file that shows this problem and upload it to our FTP? ftp://upload:upload@videoredo.net/

Please create a unique folder name and place the file in the folder. Be sure to verify that the trim and copy segment after output has the jerky display.

Is anyone else seeing an issue with edited VCD material?

If you're extracting MPEGs from a VCD or SVCD using Isobuster, try right-clicking the MPEG file and choosing "Extract Raw but convert to User Data". It works for me everytime.
