Minor beta bug?

One day left on my beta. I'm sending jobs to the batch manager and the little green icon appears to indicate that it is running but the progress bar is staying at 0%.
However, I can run the job in "real time".
Slight mismatch between in their expiration settings?

Could be, try the Build 800 beta and let us know if it resolves the issue.

There is a weird bug in batch, and the COM interface in general, where if VRD pops up a blocking dialog, like the "beta is about to expire prompt" it will simply stall. I've tried to add checks to all the code to prevent these types of dialogs when running from batch, but some of the security ones can't be disabled.

Thanks for the notification !

I rely on it, so will defer updating for now :)
This applies to all versions, even version 5. So updating wont help or hurt the issue. As long as you're a paid license holder this will never affect you. It only affects betas and trial versions which pop up a blocking security warning at launch that is in turn hidden by the COM interface. We can't remove the security dialogs because then it would allow batch/COM to be used to bypass the security. I might add a way to detect it though and actually prompt the user in batch or abort from the creation of the COM object so that it doesn't just hang. Some day. Not high priority as it doesn't affect many users.

I have noticed the following issues in related to the batch manager:

1) if you send a DVD creat job to the batch manager, and it would not work that means it immediately fail although it works in real time.
2) if you launch DVD burner, then the burner drive showing funny characters or symbols.
3) if you wish to creat a dvd menu, but it fail to creat the menu in real time creation of DVD.

Cheers!
