Memory Error

I am trying to output a TS video file with only the beginning and end of the video cut out and converted to the MP4 format, but shortly into the output I get a program memory error and the program crashes. I have had the same problem on my last two videos. I am able to use another video converter program to convert the file to the MP4 format and then I can edit it, with your program (V6 build 827), with no problems.

Need to know the "Exact" error message.

There are some "stream" setting to play with in Tools>Options>"Stream parameters" buffers etc.
Also Stream options in the Profile>advanced area "Output Mux Rate" etc.

This usually happens when the file is corrupted to the point where we can't properly separate the audio and video. Or the file contains an audio/video for,at we don't support but is improperly recognized as one of the supported formats.

If your file is corrupt then that's the reason. QSF can't really fix corrupted files. It's main purpose it to fix files with bad muxing that causes seeking or sync issues. If the actual audio and video frames are corrupt then it can cause all sorts of problems.

didn't notice the length. Yeah that is the problem. We can't output video without matching audio. So the buffers are filling up waiting for the audio to come back.

This typically happens when there is some issue with the muxing in the source file. Try running the file through QuickStream Fix first, then edit the resulting file.

I ran the quickstream fix and got the same error at 13% into the scan, just the same as when outputting the edited file to MP4. I was able to output this file to an MP4 file using another converter program, but when I tried playing this file, with your program, I found that the sound at the end of the video, (2Hrs) was off by several minutes. This made me believe that the problem was with the original recording. I recorded the video again and I was then able to edit and then output the video, which then played back OK. My Hauppauge recording unit seems to have intermittent recording problems. which seem to show up with your program by this kind of crash. My other video programs seem to be able to process these videos without crashing, but this did not mean that the output video was OK. I rather have a crash tell me I have a video file problem than have to play back the whole video to verify that it is OK.

If there was a complete dropout, or major corruption, in the audio stream then that explains why VideoReDo stalled. We can't output video without audio.
