Generally mpg CC are stored either as user data in the video stream or as teletext streams for DVB broadcast. VRD will handle these without issue. MP4 files usually use timed text captions which is a feature we are working on.
Hmm, MediaInfo on my .mp4 CC files shows...
----------------------------------------------------
Text
ID : 1-CC1
Format : EIA-608
Muxing mode : SCTE 128 / DTVCC Transport
Muxing mode, more info : Muxed in Video #1
Duration : 5 min 48 s
Bit rate mode : Constant
Stream size : 0.00 Byte (0%)
CaptionServiceName : CC1
--------------------------------------------------------
Of course all the CC.mp4 files I deal with are the ones I created from my Dvd_CC.mpg files.
Oh, VLC sees the CC, MPClassic does not see any subtitles.
So guess it's apples vs oranges here.
I'm assuming that the problem files are from a "Streaming" source.
Have never run into "txet" or "Timed Text" issues.
