Dan et al,

With everyone (me very much included) always pointing out what is wrong with VRD or how we would like it to do this or that I thought it worthwhile to throw out some praise.

I downloaded the .600 release today and I'm happy to report that I could finally open a .WTV file that had been created at 1080i by my HD-PVR :D, run ad scan (having issues with Show Analyzer ), and write the trimmed file back out as a .WTV file.

I've been waiting quite awhile to be able to do that. Thanks much to all involved and I look forward to the product continuing to improve.

S,
Allen

It's a great program, no doubt about it. I was using a freeware program before the h.264 version came out, but VideoRedo is definitely worth paying for.

Hard to know what to choose! The team work very hard but right now VR isn't able to edit my video properly. I also want it to be possible to edit and keep multiple audio tracks and subtitles. I selected "great product/support" anyway mostly off the back of their support team's responsiveness and helpfulness :D Keep up the good work! I will buy as soon as my video can be edited without pixelation or loss of audio...

I heartily agree with most of what's been said here. Big cheers to the VideoReDo support staff! Wonderful program. Been using it for years myself, and it's still one of my most oft used & useful programs.

I also really appreciate the support given here. Par excellence! Thanks guys! :)

Yes, VRD still has issues that make me pull my air out, but overall it is a great product that is constantly being improved. It would be great if all products had support like this.

I'm surprised that the team still talk to me :D

I'm looking forward to multistream audio support, and hopefully some day, real waveform audio display support. :D

It is the best I have ever found to cut commercials out of OTA broadcasts and convert down to a manageable file size and still have great picture quality, all without errors in the video itself. :)

Yes excellent product and support.
I too would like to see multiple audio streams, but I am being patient - we've had far more options/improvements so far than I have ever seen with any other software.

My lack of posting lately has simply been because things are working great for me. I have the occasional issue here and there but the VRD team is always on top of it and improving each new version. I really have no complaints at all. Anyone who doesn't feel this is the BEST h.264/mpeg2 editor out there should really detail why and what they can do to improve it. Yes, there are bugs. They're fixing them. Yes there are features we'd like. They're working on those, too. In short, it's remarkable how far they've gotten with this editor and what it can do. I for one am completely satisfied with both the product and the support we get. Absolutely top notch.

Thank you for a really great product. It meets all my needs on H.264. Pricing vs functionality is also very good value for money.

Keep up the good work :)

Great job guys. While others around us can't make up thier minds, you have stood steadfast on offering what you could, when you could. Rock solid performance on everything I have thrown at it.

Congradulations.

I purchased VideoRedo at its inception, I believe that there are two things they have indisputably accomplished:

1. MPG2 is perfect
2. Support is as good as it gets, which to me is paramount.

H.264 needs some work, however, I am have enough faith in VideoRedo that I offer them the highest commendation possible, and would stand by them 100%.

Next to the common thing as bugs, new-option glitches, failures (note ONLY in the very very new versions where some options are like in alpha stage), I didn't buy this product for nothing. It has some -very strong- GOOD working features that I really love in this program, where other programs fail. An example is the re-syncing option with MPEG-2 video files.

Before I used VRD I used Womble MPEGVCR editor, but lacked options, which VRD has!

Tried out the trial and the beta-versions and was convinced that this product has a glorious future ahead and my support in making this little company big as it should be recognized as a company with potential to be one of the better (IF NOT BEST) smallsized all-edit/burn/fix tool for your MPEG files.

Been using the beta 600 for a while now, and in the background there are developments in the works, which I know I (and others) are eager for it to come out.

Overall I rate this program a 9 outta 10. Simply because users are -never satisfied- :) and (like me) will always point out the little (or bigger) flaws/bugs it might contain, only{!} to improve the product in a way all will be satisfied about. Both users and company.

KUDOS!

I think it's a great program, but I can't say that. Very frequently I will present a .ts file to VRD that causes it to freeze for a bit, then to complain it could find no data for the file. Invariably, HDTVtoMPG2 can successfully convert the file, at which point VRD can edit it. Also invariably, significantly truncating the offending file allows VRD to load and edit the file directly, but then of course, I lose a big chunk of the recording. It's also made it impractical for the VRD support team to work with me to pinpoint the issue. It's not really their fault, of course, but the fact the problem disappears when I try to create a reasonably small test file to transfer is frustrating.
