Joining with different audio tracks

I have just started using VRD (trial version). I have cut two files from the same movie. Then I try to join them together. VRD tells me the audio bit rates are different and won't let me join them.

Is this because some of the movie is 2 channel audio, and some 5.1 surround sound?

In any case, am I doing something wrong or can I somehow change the audio to be in sync??

Right now the joiner can't handle programs with different audio bit rates. I believe the reasons for that is no longer valid due to other changes we have made in the software. We will try to get a beta out in the next day or so that can deal with that situation.

Where do I find the Beta?

Where do I find the Beta once you make the modification, and how will I know it was released??

You'll find references and release notes to the betas here: http://www.videoredo.net/msgBoard/viewtopic.php?t=354&start=0

If you go to that topic and select "Watch this topic" you'll get an enail whenever a new beta is posted and the board is updated.

We are running a bit behind on the next beta release. Some new features are causing intermittment failures and we while these are "beta" versions we like to make sure that existing stuff works reliably.
