Invisible TS Stream

#1
Dan i have a multi .ts video with x2 channel recording in it from x4 pids. I can load this it into vrd, but it sees only one stream. QSF doesn't find the other stream, neither is it selectable anywhere. I can load the file into MPC it can sees and play both streams.

The second stream is blank for 10 minutes until that channel starts to broadcast. I got around this with vrd, by triming of 670mb way from the start of the file. VRD now sees both streams, and are selectable as usual for two stream video .ts file.

Is there an option in the settings i can use, to allow vrd. See this invisible stream, so i can select it as normal. If there is no option in the settings to try, i can upload a trimmed clip for you to analyse, if you need it.

Missed this one.

That's a long way to search into a file for a stream. If this were a default option and there was nothing there, you could wind up searching through the whole file.

You can try selecting Ignore Transport Stream Maps in Stream Parameters.

You could try to download and install our latest beta: http://www.videoredo.net/msgBoard/showthread.php?t=1984
Then while holding down the shift key click on Tools>Options.

Change the following 3 values to very large numbers:
"Number of TS packets to read to find a selected PID:
"Number of TS packets to read when searching for PAT/PMT:
"Number of bytes to read when search for valid TS packet:

Your best bet is to trim the beginning of the file as you did.

Increasing Number of TS packets to read when searching for PAT/PMT: Finds No data found for the requested program(s)
Increasing your selected other options values alone did nothing.
.

I found that when i get this report:
No data found for the requested program(s) when adjusting only - Number of TS packets to read when searching for PAT/PMT:

Then by increasing Number of TS packets to read to find a selected PID: to the same value. Makes it find the invisible .ts stream PIDs.

Note for others reading this:
When Number of TS packets to read when searching for PAT/PMT: reports a No stream error, the entered value is to high, the value needs to be lowered.

.

All this is ok if you have plenty of time, to mess around.

With the trimming method i could edit the video imeadiatly. But with the above method i had to qsf the .ts stream. Why qsf it, if it didn't need it with the trimming method. Which produced an error free saved video after editing.

Drawback also with the trimming method, takes a long time also in locating the invisible .ts stream start.

Can vrd not be made to find all the stream PIDs upon loading each file. Vrd really does need, to be able to do this intuitivly.
