Installation Trouble

I'm getting an error on trying to install TV Suite.
Running Windows 2000 SP4
The error is:

...VRDTitler.ocx
Unable to register the DLL/OCX: RegSvr32 failed with exit code 0x3.

Anyone else had this?

When I read beboop's comments in another thread, it triggered a recent memory.
I installed an early version on my two other computers.
Needed TV Suite on 'em to do some beta testing.
One install went fine; the other gave me grief.
I think it was the same thing, 'cause I remember tracking down a %&#@ DLL file, and since I knew where to stick it, resolved the problem on my own.
What didn't register with me is that the problem was on the one computer running Windows 2000 !

I actually didn't think to look for gdiplus.dll on my own Win2k machine right away -- initially I tried to download it from the MS site, which was a little exasperating. The only machines here with internet connections are this one (98SE) and a mac. I also don't use IE, or ActiveX.

So I tried to do the "alternate validation" thing to download gdiplus -- tried three times, each time it failed with "Can not generate code. This may be due to a technical problem, or an unsupported OS. Try again" (paraphrasing, but that's the gist of it).

So, I don't know, but it looks like the MS validation routine doesn't work with 98SE, and therefore you can't download gdiplus on a 98SE machine.

That's when I thought to look for it on the Windows 2000 machine, found it, and got it working.

I guess it really won't affect many users, but since VRD does run on 98 and 2000, maybe there should be an optional download with gdiplus.dll included.
