How to move cropped video fragments

Hello. How to move cropped video fragments?
View attachment 2573
You would select a video segment. Then at the top "Joiner" > "Add Current Project To Joiner List".
Select and add (ONE at a time) to the joiner list. (set up a NEW! single selection for each segment you want)

Now "Edit Joiner List" and move the segments up or down to put in wanted order.
Finally IN the "Joiner Editing" Window click on "Create video from joiner list".

In the Joiner drop down tab there is also a "Create video from joiner list" option.
I don't use that option I use the one in the "Joiner editing" window and it works for me.

Seems I read something here with a problem of only one of the segments being save off
and I think it may be associated with the joiner tab drop down option which I've never used.

EDIT...
There is one trick I use If I'm trying to put a lot of pieces together, like patching in clean segments to replace
video glitches.

Set the video file up as needed and save off a "project file" for each segment you want to add to the joiner.
I'll usually have two videos open at once to match up the replacement segments and exactly where they are to go.

So to get everything together on a single "joiner" I drop in a "project save file" and add it to the joiner then drop in
the next video "project save file" and add that setup to the "joiner".

So now I have all my parts from all the separate videos in one "joiner" ready to order and save off.
(make sure you have not moved ANY of your work files till this is all done)

Good luck

too many unnecessary movements. I hope in the future the creators of this wonderful program will give us an easier solution.

Have you tried the latest V6 beta? If you make multiple cuts or scenes and add them to the joiner each scene is now added to joiner as a separate entry and you can re-order them quite easily.

I've tried the latest V6 beta about 2 weeks ago. It was sooo slow (I9 CPU, 3 fast SSDs,Win10pro) ... not usable, nothing's working right.

... if you'd add a function to save the separate entrys as single files, it wood solve a lot of issues for many users!!!

There is a feature for that. It's buried deep in the Advanced section of the profile though.

1. As suggested by Dan203, did you find the split feature on the advanced tab of the output file?

2. If you're still having problems with V6, then open up a topic in the V6 thread, or contact us at support as we want to figure out what's going on. At this point, we know of no issues where V6 is slower than V5 when doing similar functions.

Wow!!! That's perfect (Misc Options-Split Scenes Yes/No)!
Thanks, Thanks, Thanks!!!
Now this may have been fixed...
But I found that with that switch "on" that when I extracted a mpg from an optical disk that
the the QSF file.mpg would have extra added to the name.
QSF could not handle that and would not finish.

Had to turn it back off to get my dvds QSFed.

You're opening file from DVD, selecting the auto QSF option and have the Split Scenes turned on?

Split scenes shouldn’t even work with QSF as there are no scenes. I'll have to add a check for that.

Yes, this was a fair while ago when I first learned about the "Split Scenes" option.

Going to test this and see if it is still that way...
EDIT...
OK, it still does it (VRD5Pro)
The normal QSF file name come out as------- "Dramas2_1.mpg"
With "Split Scenes ON" the QSF file name is "Dramas2_1_1.mpg"
And QSF fails to open the changed name file.

VRD6.800 Beta does the exact same thing.

I know why it's doing that. It just shouldn't with QSF because it's impossible to have scenes to split with QSF. Should be a simple fix for v6.
