Whats the official ETA for release?
There wasn't one. But a few days ago they said it'd be out in a few days. So, my question was how close are they to releasing it now? It's only going to be in beta when they release it, but, a lot of us really want to try it out and see if we can help find any remaining issues there might be in the code.

DanR just said in another thread that they're setting up the alpha program now and they'll be contacting the testers privately once that's set up. Another 2 to 3 days to get all that set up.

Yeah, thats cool.

Its no easy feat creating a h264 editor for commercial release but it would be nice if there was a development blog or thread to keep us abreast of the action so we can keep up with progress and any snags.

They've given us little snippets of updates over the past few months of the progress being made. They wanted to make sure it worked on all the files we've uploaded to them and I think they're happy enough with it to let some people start testing it privately so that's good progress.

Playback: Codec PowerDVD 7.3 , Windows XP Pro SP3, AMD X2 5200+, ASUS EAH3650 via HDMI to Samsung HDTV

Will there be an update possibility for VideoReDo plus? I will store my files only on hard disk.

As a VRD user of many years, I, also, would like to request that VRD Plus be upgraded to include H.264 editing capabilities. I need to edit HDPVR TS files but TVSuite is just overkill, for me. Thanks.

H264 for VideoRedo is a must have.

As someone who has been working with encoding for years, H264 has become my main compression format due to it's stability. There are a lot of people out there using it as it is one of the most stable compression formats out there. Beats Divix's hands down. (My opinion)

I also use VRD with my MCE and MPG and DVR-MS files are far to big for reasonable storage issues on your average WHS. It would be a fantastic add-on to your already great piece of software to be able to work with the H264 format.

I personally think your product sales would go through the roof if you were to include this format in your product, and hope you will consider adding it in the future.

Thanks
Ron

We are in alpha testing now. Should be released later this summer.

VRDTVS owner anxious for MPEG4 support

My growing catalog of DVR captures increasigly consists of MPEG4 HD content and I have no convenient way of editing out ads. While I will not hesitate to purchase an upgrade hopefully my current license will be upgradable when and if h.264 support is available.
