Four observations

1. When starting an “Open File from DVD” all of the C Drive structure of Windows directory is shown.

2. When processing a DVD from “Open File from DVD” if a MPG file is double clicked, the running instance of VideoReDo starts playing the sound from the MPG file, but there is no way to view the video. Perhaps a separate instance of VideoReDo should be started.

3. When processing an “Open File from DVD” request the machine does not enter sleep, this is good. But when the file has finished processing and the statistics box is on the screen the machine should be able to enter sleep state, it does not. You really want this to be able to leave a file processing overnight.

4. Probably missed it, but is there a way of setting a default output profile?

I'll ask Pat to work with you on item #1 to #3.

#4. On Tools>Options>General. You can set the default output profile to either, match the source input or "last one used". In the case of "last one used" it keeps a separate setting for MPEG2 and H.264.

There is an option for Open Title from a DVD. Is this what you are referring to?

The dialog box will display the tree structure of the drive.

Same as #1.

Only folders are displayed with this option not files. You cannot select a .MPG file.

Have you checked your power saving settings?

To clarify the first three issues, all these are programming issues:

1 - Attached JPG file showing incorrect tree.

2 - What I mean is when a file in Windows Explorer is clicked and there is a running instance of VideoReDo processing an “Open File from DVD” request. The MPG file plays, you hear the sound, but there is no way you can get to see the video. What should happen is that the running instance of VideoReDo detects that an “Open File from DVD” request is being processed and open another instance.

3 - ALL my machine settings are correct for sleep, VideoReDo is the only program that does this. The code must set to 'do not sleep'. What I am saying is that this is correct for the “Open File from DVD” while a QuickStream fix is being processed, but once this has finished the program should issue 'ok to sleep'.

When you click on File>Open DVD, the folder dialog defaults to the last opened DVD folder. Or if you authored a DVD to a folder in TVS, that folder. How do you want the browse folder dialog to appear?

I don't know how much control we have over that. However, make sure that on the shift+Tools>Options page this is set:

7 Only allow a single instance of VideoReDo : False

3 - ALL my machine settings are correct for sleep, VideoReDo is the only program that does this. The code must set to 'do not sleep'. You may have found a bug, but we will need to do some more testing. We added a "Do not sleep" call when outputting a video and turn if off (which will allow the computer to sleep), when output is complete. However, it doesn't get called until after the user clicks OK to the "Output Complete" dialog. We should probably change this to allow sleeping before showing that dialog.

1 - When you click on File>Open DVD, the folder dialog defaults to the last opened DVD folder.

I'm not opening a DVD folder, I want to open is my Z: drive which contains a DVD. I always get view as in Capture.jpg, I then scroll down open drive Z: and get picture as in Capture#2.jpg; attached.

2 - I have 'false' set. When I change it to 'true' and double click on a mpg file in Explorer, there is a slight pause and Explorer returns, nothing from VideoReDo. With 'false' what I have described happens only when a DVD is doing a QuickStream fix after an “Open File from DVD”. All other times a seperate version/instance of VideoReDo starts when a mpg file is double clicked in Explorer.

3 - Sounds right, should be before the OK window is displayed. I can confirm that when OK is pressed and then you pause the video the machine does go to sleep corectly after the defined time.
