FFmpeg muxer: error moving moov atom to start of file popped on the last three files
of a couple dozen PAL dvd MPGs I X264 to .MP4 files.

---------------
I closed VRD and Batch and restarted. redid a 4 minute piece (Batch) and got the same error.
So Batch does not like this one PAL dvd mpg files. VRD interface no problem!
---------------

They are in the Batch Manager...
It hangs at 99% till I hit ok and then goes to 100% and
Batch says "Success" but no .mp4 output or Duration or FPS.

There are 27 GBs free on the ram drive where tmp files and the MPG files are kept for processing.
I just pulled the .tmp files off, changed to .mp4 and they work. So no time wasted.

Only happened on this one PAL dvd tv show. On all three files (dvd mpgs) PAL.

I'm redoing one in the VRD interface as a test now.
Ok, the VRD interface worked. No problem.

If you want a look at a "Batch" failing piece of the file let me know.

Thanks,
jmc

We've got a change coming in v6 that does not require the temp file and copy. Instead it leaves a "hole" at the start of the file and then uses that hole to put the moov atom in. Wastes a little space, but not much, and is way faster and less prone to error.

As for this... not sure the cause. I'll put it on my list of things to look into.

Good to know. So looking forward to V6!

Well, the Batch "fail" here was a rare quirk. All the many other PAL dvd mpgs processed
in Batch with no problem. I'll keep a small "fail" sample around for a while.
