Editing Window minimizes after clicking on OK on Completion notification

Hello,

I'm noticing that after I get the completion notification (editing a video & saving the edit), the editing window automatically minimizes.

Is there anyway to have the main program not minimize?

Thanks

Interesting in that your situation has never happened to me. I normally load what was just completed, but there are many times where that is not the case.

What version of M$ are you using?

You've never seen M$ as an indication of MicroCrap Windoze, or other flattering terms. Many here know that I'm not a fan of the OS, but unfortunately if I want to do certain things, it is the only OS that will run some programs. I would prefer to have programs like this one run under Linux, but I'm not holding my breath for that to happen.

Oh sorry, yes I have. I just wasn't thinking of that.

I'm using Win 8.1 Pro.

I do not have this problem with V4

I get this too but on W7, I reported it before but it wasn't reproducable. For me it doesn't get minimise, it's just hidden behind the last used window. So I have to close or minimise that or click the taskbar tab for VRD to bring it back to the front.

Ok I did some testing again. If I have the rest of the windows minimized, after I click OK, I still see the main VRD editing window. If I have another window up, the other window (that I was just looking at before) will come in front of the VRD main editing window.

v4 stayed in the foreground after clicking ok on the completion window.

Croftie is describing what I'm also seeing

There is an option for this... It's on Tools->Options->Completion alerts. We added the option a while back because in COM interface, also used by batch, it would create an issue where it would steal keyboard focus at the end of each video. If you want it to come back to the front then enable that option but beware it could cause an issue while running batch or anything else that uses the COM interface like kmttg or VAP.

So what if VRD is in the forground it's normal for it to hide when you close the complete dialog? That doesn't seem right and it's not how v4 behaves.

That option always steals focus which is not something I can live with.

Also even if VRD is the only thing open it still looses focus, so even though it's visible you have to click it before you can continue using it.

Hmmm... I'm able to reproduce this, but I compared the source for v4 to v5 and nothing in that portion of the code has changed so I'm not sure what's causing it. Is this something new to 706d? Or has it been happening with v5 since the beta started?
