hi, I am happy with video redo generally it is excellent for removing commercials from my dvd recorder copies and for similar vhs to dvd recorder copies. however I want to edit short sections of video cut from films (songs) lasting about 2 to 4 minutes and save these to make a compilation. I find that I get dropped frames in these and if I re-edit' it occurs at the same point each time. The 'master' full length edit of the film from redo (after quick stream fix) does not contain these errors. Can this be rectified in some way or are the sequences too short for the resync to work effectively?

Can you:
1) Enable diagnostics on the Tools>Options>Advanced Stream page.
2) Delete your VideoReDo.log file.
3) Perform you edits.
4) Email the log file to us.
Another option is to update to build #320 or later on our beta site: ftp://beta:beta@videoredo.net and see if the problem is rectified.

thanks for your suggestions, however I seem to have overcome the problem. I had been using quickstream fix on my dvd recordings prior to editing because my recorder uses non sequential time code.
I recently installed a dvd ram drive and this enables me to read the vro files directly from my dvd recorder's ram discs instead of having to record to dvd -r's and finalising first to read on my dvd rom. VRD opens the VRO files directly and I can cut out the short edits that I want without the time sync shooting all over the place and I no longer have dropped frames or jerky edits. The original problem then I would put down to the quickstream fix.
