Displaying embedded timecode

I've been thinking about this for a while.

Currently we are able to display the I, P & B frame indicators in the upper-left corner.

Lots of the videos that I deal with should have time-code embedded in the MPEG-2 or H.264 video. Any chance of displaying that value as well with a separate option setting? And displaying it next the frame markers?

THere are a number of places were time codes are embedded, which ones are you referring to?

What's the compelling reason? Our pro version does has the facility to display time code offset by the embedded one, but there are no plans to support it in the consumer product.

I do not know all of the places where the timecode could be. I've never had a program that would display them.

No compelling reason. Just a fallback to the old analog editing days where the timecode was used. Even within Premiere when dealing with DVCAM videos, the timecode was displayed.
