I haven't had the crop crash yet, but neither does it seem to work properly.

Specifically I've noticed two things just in the first 10 minutes of testing with it:

1. The cropping doesn't seem to be accurate relative to the displayed box. For example if I dispose of black bars perfectly within the displayed box, there are still bars at the top and bottom when the DVD is created and shown in a player, suggesting that either the crop or the box is not accurate in terms of display lines.

2. The cropping doesn't seem to work on a multi-title DVD. Firstly it's confusing as you only appear to be able to crop when creating a DVD, not for each title. But the crop box then only shows the last title. And doesn't seem to actually do ANY cropping at all then. The only time crop has worked (and with the accuracy reservations above) is when there's a single title.

Anyone else had these problems? Any comment from the staff on this?

PS: VideoRedo is still the best bit of software, and TVSuite looks to continue that trend. Still very happy with the $20 upgrade fee and I'm sure that the bugs will be ironed out, so this isn't a pop at the developers!

Really weird.

I change in option in DVD Setting to save in my folder eg; G:\ and then Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error DISAPPEAR but new problem - MPEG STREAM ERROR : DVD MUXER INITIALIZATION ERROR

I change back to Auto - back problem to Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error

Anyway what I do is my mpeg video of 16:9 but the picture is 4:3 there is black border so that why I want crop into 4:3 full screen it look all good but when save to DVD then problem. I'm stuck here.

I hope you guys will fix this CROP thing and save for DVD ?

I only just want crop to work then I can save back to mpeg and join all my other video.

I don't know what to say more.

Cheers

Can you please give some more information about the video you are trying to crop (eg load the file, then Ctrl-L, then copy the information into a post here).

Also, what exact output and cropping settings are you using?

Does the problem occur if you try a different file (eg one from a different TV station), or if you change any of the other output settings (eg change the MPEG header to 10Mbps)??

I've just tried doing a 16:9 -> 4:3 pillarbox removal using some DVB-T content, and haven't had a problem.

I suggest that you do the following:

* Cut a 50MB section of the source video that definitely causes the crash.
* Turn on full diagnostic logging in VRD TVS
* Run the 50MB chunk and cause the crash
* Upload the 50MB chunk to the VRD FTP server
* Send an email to support@videoredo.com containing the VideoReDo log file, name and location of the test file, and make a mention of forum thread 5238.

No that's our bad. I don't know how that slipped through testing.

We will check this out. In the meantime, can you either email us your log file (support @ videoredo.com) or look for these lines in the log file and post them here:

It should work on a multi-title DVD albiet with all videos having the same cropping dimensions. The crop box actually shows the currently open video.

We will test it out.
