I have two .mkv files that include unique chapter labels. After using the joiner to combine them, VRD changes the label text to "Title 1 : Chapter 1", etc. The chapter timing seems to be intact. Why not just let the text pass through? Is there an option to do that?
Thank you for the speedy reply. The chapter labels do not pass through if one file is saved without using the joiner. Also, the chapter labels were renamed to "Chapter 1", "Chapter 2", etc. Slightly different than when the joiner was used.
OK that's what I thought. The reason being is that we don't actually support "chapters" in VideoReDo. We offer an option to output scene markers as chapters, but internally these are not really chapters and don't have a name associated with them. So when you open an MKV with chapters we import the chapters as scene markers. And when you save as MKV we save the scene markers as chapters. But the name is not retained because there isn't a mechanism to do that. The name of the chapters you're seeing is being auto-generated by the MKV muxer and would be the same if you added scene markers manually via the UI. (press A key anywhere on the nav bar)
