Batch Manager Ad-Dective Scan

I can't get Batch Manager to successfully run Ad-Detective Scans in Silent mode. I keep getting a "The server threw an exception." error. Works fine if I deselect Run Silent.

Same files work fine in VRDPlus in Silent mode.

I'm using 3.1.3.544. Nothing constructive appears in the log file.

Side note: I found that neither VRD+ or TVS like file names that include "&" (^038). I have to change it to "and". Can this be fixed?

Just tested TVS with an "&" in the source and destination filename and didn't have a problem. Can you email your VideoReDoBatch.cmd to support @ videoredo.com. Please put topic=5479 in the subject. Or simply post the cmd file here if you like.

Regarding the Ad-Detective scan in silent mode. Likewise, it worked here. Do you know if the error was thrown at the beginning of the scan or the end?

What operating system are you running?
What country are you in?
Can you start a cmd window and type the command "chcp"? Let us know the results.

Thanks.

I sent the cmd file. It's when the & character is in the filename when downloaded from the TiVo via TTG.

I'm running WinXP sp2
I'm in the U.S.
chcp returns: "Active code page: 437"

The Ad-Detective silent mode scan is thrown at the beginning of the scan. Within a few seconds, "C:\Program Files\VideoReDoTVSuite\AdScan.vbs(62,1) (null): The server threw an exception." Followed by "Done". A few seconds later, a window pops up stating "VideoReDo.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close..." I click on the "click here" link and which states "AppName:videor~1.exe AppVer: 3.1.3.544 ModName: ntdll.dll ModVer 5.1.2600.2180 Offset: 00011404"

I uninstalled TVS then reinstalled it, same result.

Well, running a batch to save Ad-Detective projects as mpg files in silent mode is working. I don't know if that narrows it down, but thought I would mention it.

We've tracked it down to a TVS / WinXP issue. Doesn't happen on Vista. Will have it fixed real soon.

Could you post to this thread when fix (or workaround) is posted? I'm having exactly the same problem. (And it works fine in VideoReDoPlus.)
