Yeah its weird I even checked and tried a different file. I will test again.
Haha I might have fooled myself. The file was duplicated in a different folder with the same name, but one was edited and the other was not, I think you are right, disregard, sorry.
Ok so this is really strange. I have my tv recordings edited automatically with comskip/mcebuddy. I use videoredo to get anything it misses, usually a piece and the beginning and end. I then process the file (.TS) through the Videoredo
batch manager to produce a new .TS. Just a remux no...
I am not going to claim to be the expert here at all, you guys for sure understand the technical side more than I do. I guess my point was more that it can be done, and is done pretty commonly. I think you probably have it right, that the pieces would need to be put into avisynth on their own...
I see what you are saying but can't say I agree with most of it. If you go online and download TV shows (I am not talking about some just by some guy that doesn't know what he is doing) pretty much all shows are converted to 23.976. And the stuff that is ripped directly from netflix/amazon etc...
I see there are a lot of limits, I am pretty sure all my recordings are mpeg2, looks like I would be ok, $100 is hard to swallow for the tv suite, at least for me.
Just want to clarify, if I just want to use ad-detective, to edit ads and make a new .TS, plus should be fine?
Is there any limitation to ad detective or the editing process?
I'll look into this, I actuallt tried to install staxrip the other day, it got stuff trying to install one of the filters, I think it was called FTTW or something like that, couldn't connect to the server, I downloaded it manually but wasn't sure how to make it work so I gave up.
Hey thanks a...
Thanks for the reply, I think the video is clean because I did try handbrake and it looks great. I thought videoredo would do it all, but maybe I will use handbrake for commercial cuts.
But I agree I need other samples, those will come in the next couple day, I didn't realize we couldn't use...
I attached the info for the file.
I see so many x264 files that are deinterlaced, does that mean there was another step in the process?
I have tried mp4 as well, didn't help.
Maybe I am just not looking int he right areas but I thought this would be one of the main tasks that videoredo was used for. Grabbing 1080i OTA or cable and converting to h264/mkv. The stuff that you can download on the net (piracy I know but just making a point) that has an HDTV source is...
Thanks, I didn't realize that AC3 could go into an MP4 container. I'll do some playing around next week. Right now I only have two samples to play with, my new tuner shows up Tuesday.
Thanks I will check that out when I get home. So this profile will deal with interlaced material?
I guess a person would need multiple profiles? At least one for 1080i stuff and one for 720p stuff.
Do you have it set to keep 5.1 audio? I am hesitant to use mp4 because it also has to transcode...
I am messing around with the trial. I would like to know the best settings to convert recorded broadcast tv. Which is mpeg2 in a TS container, to h264 in an mkv (I would like to leave the AC3 audio alone)
I have always struggled to properly deinterlace 1080i material. Is there some settings...
